Applications are invited from eligible candidates for two posts (Full-Time, contractual) of Senior
Consultants/ Consultants/ Academic Associates in the Discipline of Economics in School of Social
Sciences (SOSS), Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Maidan Garhi, New Delhi -
110068. The positions are initially for a period of six months, extendable further as per requirement of
the University. Remuneration and educational qualifications for the posts are as given below:

| Consultant | Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 60,000 | i) Master Degree in Economics with minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC (without creamy layer/differently abled) and NET qualified/ PhD as per UGC guidelines ii) Teaching/Research experience of about 5-7 years |
| Senior Consultant | Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 70,000 | i) Master Degree in Economics with minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC (without creamy layer/differently abled) and NET qualified/ PhD as per UGC guidelines ii) Teaching/Research experience of minimum 10 years iii) Maximum age limit: 69 years |
Job Profile: The nature of work would involve activities pertaining to development of academic
programmes in Economics discipline offered by the University. The job would include writing and
editing of course material and assisting the Programme Coordinator in day to day activities related to
course development.
